Welcome to Chesapeakebaycommunity.info. This community portal has been a vision of mine since 1990! Now it is really happening. I want this site to become your “go to” place for all information pertaining to the Chesapeake Bay region. We will begin by focusing on the Upper Chesapeake Bay area first. The site will contain information about area businesses, restaurants, marinas; weather, area events, news, attractions, and real estate just to name a few. These categories will grow as we grow. The Kitty Knight House Reopens!

Over the Memorial Day weekend a old friend came back to life. The Kitty Knight House has been closed for two years and now it is open once again. The Inn is now back into the ownership of the Hall family who also own The Granary and Georgetown Yacht Basin.
Locals, boaters and vistors alike can all agree on one thing…………..the sunsets on the deck are some of the most spectacular on the Chesapeake Bay! The deck also serves up some yummy lite fare and great libations. The inside dining room is casual but elegant and has a more formal menu. During the winter months and inclement summer days The Tavern will be open for your dining pleasure. Below is a video recorded on opening day.
