It goes on and on. What is one to think? I would love to hear your thoughts on all of this and more, but before you comment listen to the song below and substitute any word or phrase you chose for the word “Love” in the song. Timeless isn’t it?

I came across an article in the Chesapeake Bay Journal that certainly got my attention. We all hear or read about the Chesapeake Bay and how much we should be concerned about its health. I always thought the key to a healthy Bay would be to stop the  discharge of phosphate and other harmful chemicals into the Bay proper and all the rivers and streams in the watershed. According to this article, not only should those steps be taken to insure a healthy Chesapeake Bay, time is also a factor. How much time you ask…read on. You will be surprised by the answer, I was.

I just finished reading about a buoy system along the Chesapeake Bay that not only give you in real time, water quality, tempature and wave heights, but a historical narrative about Captain John Smith. Each bouy has a snippet of information that lasts about three minutes. It tells of Smith’s travels and experinces that took place in the vicinity of each of the bouys. Ther are now 4 operational bouys with two more to follow this fall. The two newest bouys will be placed near the mouth of the Elizabeth and Sesquehanna Rivers. You can call the bouy system on your phone 877-286-9229 or visit their website. To read the article, click here.

Creative Commons License photo credit: ninjapoodlesWe all need a break today from the astronomical gasoline prices. Someone has heard our plea. There is a cool site called gas buddy that shows the lowest prices in your area for gas. They have all grades and even diesel! There are local people who sign up to be “scouts.” They check out area prices and report back to the website. A great idea!!! Check out the site.

The video below will give you a glimpse into how the Georgetown Harbor fireworks show, that so many people along the Sassafras River, was put on. Check out the video below.
