I came across an article in the Chesapeake Bay Journal that certainly got my attention. We all hear or read about the Chesapeake Bay and how much we should be concerned about its health. I always thought the key to a healthy Bay would be to stop the discharge of phosphate and other harmful chemicals into the Bay proper and all the rivers and streams in the watershed. According to this article, not only should those steps be taken to insure a healthy Chesapeake Bay, time is also a factor. How much time you ask…read on. You will be surprised by the answer, I was.
Chesapeake Bay Weather
July 26, 2008
It is always nice to know what the day will bring when you are planning a trip by boat on the Chesapeake Bay. You can click here to find out the latest weather forecast.
Anyone who has boated the Chesapeake Bay knows how quickly the weather can change. While on the Bay it is always a good practice to check The NOAA Weather Radio broadcast. Don’t let the weather catch you napping. One minute it is sunny with a slight cooling breeze that tempers the heat of the mid day sun. Looking off to the southwest you see storm clouds on the move. The sky grows darker, the winds whip up and the swells start to build.
