Summer Of 2008 Shorewood Estate Picnic

Every summer the Shorewood Estates Community Association has a picnic at the community area on Swantown Creek. It was pot luck, hamburgers, hotdogs, and off course steamed Chesapeake Bay blue crabs!!! Yum!!! The Eastern Shore lifestyle is one to live. Things move at a slower pace, life is savored, and the peace and tranquility are a welcome relief to the modern day pressures. Take a look at the video below.
Shorewood Estates Bike Parade

Shorewood Estates is a family focused, Water Oriented community of 90 homesites located in Kent County, MD. They recently held their 1st Annual Fourth of July Bike Parade. The organizer put the parade together at the last moment but promised a more well planned event for 2009! The kids still had a great time. Just check out the the video below.

John Arcucci, The Sassafras Chef, and his lovely wife Susan have created a wonderful and very personal cafe overlooking Georgetown Harbor. The aim was to make the eatery a fun place to be…and it is. Attention to detail and service are impossible to miss. Your server and the hostess, Susan, are always attentive making sure your experience is pleasurable. Don’t miss the Chefs’ soup of the day. The Kitty Knight House Reopens!

Over the Memorial Day weekend a old friend came back to life. The Kitty Knight House has been closed for two years and now it is open once again. The Inn is now back into the ownership of the Hall family who also own The Granary and Georgetown Yacht Basin.
Locals, boaters and vistors alike can all agree on one thing…………..the sunsets on the deck are some of the most spectacular on the Chesapeake Bay! The deck also serves up some yummy lite fare and great libations. The inside dining room is casual but elegant and has a more formal menu. During the winter months and inclement summer days The Tavern will be open for your dining pleasure. Below is a video recorded on opening day.
